Glintwarden owner guide

Connect Google Business Profile

Connect a Google Business Profile location you can access so Glintwarden can read its reviews into your private workspace. The steps and checks below describe this app’s current behavior.

Requested Google scope

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage

Authorize with the Google account that can access the Google Business Profile location you want to connect.

Connection steps

Connect your location

  1. Sign in to Glintwarden

Sign in to Glintwarden, then open your Dashboard. If you have not created a business profile in Glintwarden yet, complete that setup first. You can also continue without Google and connect later.

  2. Start Google authorization

In the Dashboard, find the Google Business Profile panel and choose Connect Google Business Profile. If you are in the first-run setup step, use the same button there.

  3. Choose an account and approve access

In Google’s authorization screen, choose the Google account that can access the Business Profile location you want to connect. Review the request and approve it to return to Glintwarden. The app requests the scope shown above. If you deny or cancel, the connection remains disconnected.

  4. Select an accessible location

Back in Glintwarden, load the locations returned for that Google account. Select the location or locations you want to use, within the limit shown for your plan, then choose Use location. Glintwarden checks the selected location by reading its latest reviews before showing it as connected.

Troubleshooting

Google setup is incomplete

If Glintwarden says setup is unavailable or authorization cannot start, the app’s Google connection configuration is incomplete. You cannot finish the connection from your account until the app owner resolves it. Try again later or contact support; do not send passwords, tokens, or other credentials.

Authorization was denied or cancelled

The channel stays disconnected. Return to the Dashboard, choose Connect Google Business Profile again, select the intended Google account, and approve the request if you want to connect. You can keep using the workspace without Google.

You have insufficient access or no locations appear

Make sure the authorization used the Google account that can access the profile. If the location is missing, try another account that has access or ask the profile owner to check your access, then use Load accessible locations or Check locations again. The exact Google role requirements have not been verified for this guide.

Access expired, was revoked, or a location is unavailable

Choose Reconnect Google Business Profile in the Dashboard, authorize again with an account that can access the profile, and select an available location. If the location was removed or its access changed, ask the profile owner to confirm it is still available to your account.

A Google API or provider error appears

Refresh the connection status or check locations again once. If the same error returns, contact Glintwarden support and include the visible error text and the step where it appeared. API enablement and approval depend on the app’s Google project; this guide does not verify those Google-side settings.

Need help with a persistent error? Email glintwarden-5@polsia.app. Include the message shown in Glintwarden, but do not include passwords or access tokens.

What the app does

  • The app’s OAuth request includes the business.manage scope shown above, and its callback checks that Google returned that scope.
  • The app lists locations available to the authorized account and reads reviews from a selected location before marking the connection as connected.

What remains unverified

  • This guide does not verify Google’s current role or permission rules, app verification status, API enablement, or project approval requirements.
  • The earlier dispatch research was unavailable, so treat Google-side requirements as unverified and check current Google guidance or ask Glintwarden support if an error persists.
